SILVER LAKE RESERVOIR COMPLEX MASTER PLAN
CITY OF LOS ANGELES BUREAU OF ENGINEERING
ABOUT THE SILVER LAKE RESERVOIR COMPLEX MASTER PLAN
The Silver Lake and adjacent Ivanhoe Reservoirs, also known as the Silver Lake Reservoir Complex (SLRC), are properties owned by the Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering (LABOE). The SLRC is located on an approximately 127-acre site in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles and includes reservoirs, dams, water and stormwater infrastructure, interior roads, buildings, parks, and public recreational facilities. In 2019, the reservoirs were no longer used as a potable source of water. The BOE wanted to explore future beneficial use of reservoir complex for the City and surrounding communities.
Beyaz & Patel, on a team led by Hargreaves Jones, a provider of comprehensive master planning and design consulting services, assisted with the development of a Master Plan for the SLRC project. The objectives include updating the year 2000 Master Plan; Guide Future Public Uses and Future Physical and Operational Changes; Stakeholder and Community Input; and Maintaining LADWP Access. Our services included conceptual structural design and a review of the geotechnical report for this project.
